Karak chai is a traditional beverage originating from the Yemeni port city of Aden, which is why it is also referred to as Adeni tea in the Arabian Peninsula. This golden rich, creamy tea was brought to Yemen by the Indian traders across the Arabian Sea, which then became a local favourite and has been enjoyed for over 150 years.
Karak then found its way through to all the neighbouring Arab gulf states making it an integral part of their culture. Today Karak has become popular worldwide. Whether it's an energetic start to the day, an afternoon tea or a relaxing wind-down in the evening, there is always time to drink Karak.
